Beguiled

Kim, a talented New York photographer has spent her life yearning for the family she never had. She believes she has finally found it when she falls for Femi Ajala, a wealthy, but deeply troubled Nigerian businessman. Femi is captivated by Kim from the moment he sees her in a coffee shop, ignoring the advances of one of her closest friends, Ashley. Their attraction quickly becomes an intense romance, and before long, Femi proposes.

But Femi is strangely protective of his family and reluctant to let Kim into his world. After their engagement, Kim discovers why. Femi's mother, a racist is openly hostile toward her, convinced her son should marry a Nigerian or African woman who understands and respects family culture and traditions.
